These are some images of artist Cai Guo's work. I recently got to see an exhibit of his at the Guggenheim in NY and was super excited about it. He works with gunpowder and explodes some of his pieces to make images, he also uses fireworks and explosives for large scale art in the skies. like the rainbows of darkness and of light pictured above....which are not the names of the pieces I stole those from an episode of "my little pony". the firework glittery tornado is even more magical...the wolves are really made of dyed sheep skins and fabricated sharp teeth! and they run full force into a wall..all in all i love this stuff oh and the alligator has sharp items that were confiscated from airports stuck in its back. i found these images on flickr and a few are mine but apparently blogger and flickr have had a falling out and are not speaking to one another, so i uploaded them to my photobucket and then got em onto here.....
